Scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data

a)     When you visit wetalkwithyou.com

When you visit wetalkwithyou.com, the servers temporarily store every access in a log file. The following data is recorded without any action on the part of the user and stored until it is automatically deleted after 12 months at the latest:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer,
  • the date and time of access,
  • the name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • the website from which the access was made,
  • the operating system of the accessing computer and the browser used,
  • the country from which the access was made and the language settings of the browser as well as
  • the name of the Internet access provider.

This data is collected and processed for the purpose of enabling the use of the website (establishing a connection), ensuring system security and stability and enabling the optimization of the website as well as for internal statistical purposes. The IP address is used in particular to determine the user's country of residence and to preset the language of the website accordingly. Furthermore, the IP address is evaluated in the event of attacks on the network infrastructure of wetalkwithyou.com and for statistical purposes.

In addition, and if the user has consented, wetalkwithyou uses so-called pixels and cookies to display personalized advertising and to use web analysis services when visiting the website.

b)    When using the contact form

Users have the option of using a contact form to get in touch with wetalkwithyou. The entry of the following personal data is required:

  • Company,
  • Salutation,
  • First and last name,
  • Address (street, house number, postal code, city),
  • Telephone number and
  • E-mail address.

If this information is not provided, it may hinder the provision of wetalkwithyou's services.

wetalkwithyou only uses this data to respond to the contact request in the best possible and personalized way.

c)     when registering for the newsletter

You have the option of subscribing to the newsletter on the website. Registration is required for this. The following data must be provided as part of the registration process:

  • Company,
  • Salutation,
  • First and last name,
  • Address (street, house number, postal code, city),
  • Telephone number and
  • E-mail address.

The above data is necessary for data processing. wetalkwithyou processes this data exclusively in order to better tailor the information and offers sent to you to your interests.

By registering, you give wetalkwithyou your consent to the processing of the data provided for sending the newsletter to the address you have provided and for the statistical evaluation of user behavior and the optimization of the newsletter. This consent constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your e-mail address within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. wetalkwithyou is entitled to commission third parties with the technical processing of advertising measures and is entitled to pass on your data for this purpose.

At the end of each newsletter there is a link that you can use to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. When unsubscribing, you can voluntarily state the reason for unsubscribing. After unsubscribing, your personal data will be deleted. Further processing only takes place in anonymized form to optimize the newsletter.

The newsletter is sent by the mailing service provider "CleverReach", a newsletter mailing platform from Germany. You can view the data protection provisions of the dispatch service provider here: https://www.cleverreach.com/de-de/datenschutz/. The dispatch service provider is used on the basis of the legitimate interests of wetalkwithyou in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

The dispatch service provider may use the data of the recipients in pseudonymous form, i.e. without assignment to a user, to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of the newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.

The data you provide to wetalkwithyou for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from both the servers of wetalkwithyou and the servers of the corresponding newsletter service provider after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by wetalkwithyou for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the member area) remain unaffected by this.

wetalkwithyou uses the email marketing services of third parties to send the newsletter. The newsletter may therefore contain a so-called web beacon (tracking pixel) or similar technical means. A web beacon is a 1x1 pixel, invisible graphic that is associated with the user ID of the respective newsletter subscriber.

The use of corresponding services makes it possible to evaluate whether the emails have been opened via the newsletter. In addition, the click behaviour of newsletter recipients can also be recorded and evaluated. wetalkwithyou uses this data for statistical purposes and to optimize the newsletter in terms of content and structure. The tracking pixel is deleted when you delete the newsletter.

To prevent tracking pixels in the newsletter, please set your mail program so that no HTML is displayed in messages.

Use of your data for advertising purposes

a)     In general

wetalkwithyou may use personal data of the users of wetalkwithyou.com to advertise its services (online and/or print advertising etc.). For this purpose, wetalkwithyou is permitted to pass on personal data to third parties acting on behalf of wetalkwithyou. By using the website, the user expressly agrees to this use of their data.

b)     Re-targeting

wetalkwithyou uses re-targeting technologies on the website. Your user behavior on the website is analyzed in order to be able to offer you individually tailored advertising on partner websites. Your user behavior is recorded pseudonymously. Most re-targeting technologies work with cookies.

c)     Google Ads Remarketing and/or Doubleclick by Google

This website uses Google Ads Remarketing and/or Doubleclick by Google, services of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") to display ads based on the use of previously visited websites. For this purpose, Google uses the so-called DoubleClick cookie, which enables your browser to be recognized when you visit other websites. The information generated by the cookie about your visit to this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States (see below for additional information on transfers of personal data to the United States).

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website with regard to the advertisements to be placed, compiling reports on website activity and advertisements for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. However, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Wetalkwithyou may use Google Tag Manager to manage usage-based advertising services. The Tag Manager tool itself is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. Instead, the tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. If you have opted out at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

You can prevent re-targeting at any time by rejecting or deactivating the relevant cookies in the menu bar of your web browser. You can also request an opt-out for the aforementioned other advertising and re-targeting tools via the Digital Advertising Alliance website at optout.aboutads.info.

d)     Use of Google Adsense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating advertisements from Google Inc ("Google"). Google AdSense uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to analyze information such as visitor traffic on these pages.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to contractual partners of Google. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that content or services from third-party providers, such as city maps or fonts from other websites, are integrated into the wetalkwithyou online offering. The integration of content from such third-party providers always requires them to recognize the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, the content cannot be sent to the respective browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. Third-party providers can also set their own cookies and process user data for their own purposes. Usage profiles can be created from the processed data. wetalkwithyou uses this content as sparingly as possible and avoids data and selects reliable third-party providers with regard to data security.

The following presentation provides an overview of third-party providers and their content, along with links to their privacy policies, which contain further information on their data processing:

Maps from the "Google Maps" service from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of the website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on the website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. wetalkwithyou is also entitled to transfer your personal data to third-party companies (contracted service providers) abroad if this is necessary for the data processing described in this privacy policy and if this does not seriously jeopardize the privacy of the data subjects.

Where necessary, the user expressly agrees to this.

Users residing in a member state of the EU or Switzerland are advised that the USA does not have an adequate level of data protection from the perspective of the European Union.
